New restrictions have been introduced when delivery vehicles can park and load outside some town centre premises in Watford.

Details of the new restrictions in part of High Street have been published in the Public Notice Portal which is used to access all of the upcoming and recent information about various restrictions and notices.

Here are four notices we’ve rounded up which could affect residents in Watford and Bushey.

Watford High Street – waiting restrictions

New restrictions affecting when and where delivery vehicles can park outside shops in a section of Watford High Street have been introduced.

Watford Borough Council made an order that came into effect on August 5 to introduce the measures to manage traffic flow and deliveries on the south-west side of High Street.

This includes the implementation of no waiting and no loading at any times restrictions for the south-west side of the road between the junctions with King Street and Market Street, except for two dedicated bays.

The shared goods vehicle loadings bays and taxi bays are located adjacent to 114a to 114b High Street and 102 to 112 High Street.

Goods vehicles loading can use these 2am to 11am, Monday to Friday. At all other times No Waiting restrictions will apply except for taxis.

Hartsbourne Road and California Lane, Bushey – temporary closure

Herts County Council is intending to make an order to prohibit vehicles from using the following lengths of road, except for access, to allow roadworks to take place:

- Hartsbourne Road, Bushey from its junction with California Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 63m.

- California Lane, Bushey Heath from a point in line with the northern boundary of 'Swede House' south eastwards to its junction with Hartsbourne Road, a distance of approximately 92m.

If made, the order will come into force on August 30 and be valid for up to 18 months but the restrictions will only apply at times shown on signs at or near the roads.
