This photo was taken on an estate in Watford more than 60 years ago – and we are hoping readers can help identify some of the buildings.
The Watford Observer has again joined forces with its friends at Watford Museum to look back at structures, objects or businesses from the town’s past that have either disappeared or been relocated.
The museum’s volunteer archivist Christine Orchard said: “I'm not certain where on the Meriden Estate this photograph, dated December 1962, was taken from.
“It's not easy to tell as the estate was being built in the early 1960s.
“I wonder if the row of houses towards the right are facing onto Harvest End? If they are, I think the low-level group of buildings to their left might be Meriden Junior School which, sadly, closed in 1992.
“That site has since been redeveloped.”
Tell us what you think the buildings are using the comments facility on this page.
