Motorists are being warned to move their vehicle from a car park before it closes for improvement works to avoid being locked in.
Leavesden Country Park will be shut from 7pm tomorrow (August 14) until 7am the next morning.
During this time, Three Rivers District Council’s construction team will be preparing for the creation of a traffic island and laying road tarmac as part of wider improvements set to be delivered in stages.
The entrance, from College Road, will eventually be tripled in size - alongside changes to the walls and railings, added disabled bays, and the installation of the traffic island in the middle of the wider access.

Changes will also allow cars arriving to enter at the same time as any vehicles inside the park leave.
“All vehicles must exit the car park before 7pm on 14 August to prevent overnight lock in,” a council spokesperson said.
“Please note that the tarmac will need to cure overnight which means workers will not be on site overnight.
“Three Rivers District Council apologies for any inconvenience caused during these essential works and strive to ensure minimum disruption.”
