A proposal to install solar panels at a secondary school is among the latest planning applications submitted to Watford, Three Rivers, Dacorum and Hertsmere councils.

St Clement Danes School, in Chorleywood, has applied to Three Rivers District Council for a permitted development notice to install a 87kWp Solar PV system on the roof of the school buildings in Chenies Ro

Permitted developments allow certain building works and changes of use to take place without a planning application, subject to what the government website describes as "conditions and limitations to control impacts and to protect local amenity".
