Investigations are ongoing after a car parked at Watford General Hospital was stolen within a few hours of another two thefts.

Herts Police have asked anyone with information to come forward after the Toyota was stolen from the hospital car park between 2.15pm and 2.50pm on Saturday (August 3).

The force confirmed that enquiries are continuing, and they are “keeping an open mind” about linking it to a further pair of car thefts.

A black Lexus RX was stolen in Waterfields Way, between 12.30pm and 1.50pm on the same afternoon, and a white Lexus Estate was taken from the Tesco in Lower High Street between 1pm and 1.52pm.

A West Herts Teaching Hospitals Trust spokesperson said: “We are currently investigating this incident.

"We have CCTV throughout our sites as well as regular security patrols to protect the vehicles of staff, patients and visitors.”
