Watford rail users face delays or cancellations all this morning in the third consecutive day of train disruption.
A points failure between Watford Junction and London Euston means some lines are blocked and trains may be delayed up to 20 minutes, cancelled or revised.
The disruption was first reported at 9.05am and is expected to continue until 12pm at the earliest.
Update: the disruption was cleared by 3.45pm
Avanti West Coast said that customers’ tickets will be valid on the previous or following services if their train is cancelled.

London Northwestern Railway added that trains from Euston to Tring will run non-stop to Watford, missing Bushey, and Harrow and Wealdstone as a result.
It is the third day in a row that Watford commuters have suffered disruption at the station, after Abbey Line services were cancelled for all of Tuesday morning (August 6) due to a “fault on a train”.
The Euston line was also hit with two separate issues yesterday (August 7) as trains were delayed from 7am to 3pm due to damage to overhead wires, and afternoon services also saw further delays due to a points failure.
