Watford commuters face delays and train cancellations all this morning due to an issue on the line.
National Rail warned that damage to overhead wires between Watford Junction and London Euston means some lines are blocked.
Trains between these stations may be revised, cancelled or delayed up to 10 minutes as a result, and Avanti West Coast has confirmed it will cancel some services from the capital to Manchester to “ease congestion” on the line.
Update: the disruption is expected until at least 2pm.

The disruption was first reported at 7.54am and the expected finish time has been pushed back until at least 12pm.
- Abbey Line trains from Watford Junction cancelled for hours
- Hours of Watford Junction train delays due to 'signalling fault'
Avanti West Coast and London Northwestern Railways services between the capital and Tring, Milton Keynes, Birmingham New Street and Manchester Piccadilly are all affected.
It comes after Abbey Line trains were cancelled all yesterday morning (August 6) due to a "fault on a train", while services from London Euston also saw hours of delays in the afternoon due to a signalling fault.
