Ambulances are “on their way” to a Mercedes and Toyota crash that is currently blocking a road and causing heavy traffic.
Herts Police were called Theobald Street, between Radlett and Borehamwood, at around 1.15pm.
The road has been blocked as a result of the smash, which involved a black Mercedes-Benz and a silver Toyota Corolla. Both vehicles remained at the scene.
It remains closed, between Craigwell Avenue and Rossington Avenue, as of 2.45pm and the ambulance service were “on their way” as of the latest update at that time.
In a traffic warning posted to social media, a Herts Police spokesperson said: “We are currently dealing with a high volume of traffic on Theobald Street.
“The road is currently blocked. We would ask you to please avoid the area at this time.”
According to Google Maps, the crash appeared to have taken place closer to Radlett than Borehamwood but outside of the boundaries of either town.
Update: The road has reopened but remains partly blocked, with traffic moving very slowly.
The Mercedes driver, a man in his 20s, was injured and has been taken to hospital.
