Magistrates have ordered a Watford man to pay over £500 after children in his car were not wearing seatbelts on the M25.
Fazal Rahman Sahak appeared at Guildford Magistrates' Court and Family Court on Friday (July 26) charged with using a motor vehicle in a manner that was likely to cause danger.
The 33-year-old was accused of driving a Volkswagen Tiguan on the motorway in Surrey on September 4, 2023, with three children in the back who were unrestrained, which represented a "danger of injury to any person”, according to court files.
Sahak pleaded guilty and was ordered to pay £530, of which there was a £300 fine, and handed three points to his licence.
