Watford’s new £25million business park has welcomed a batch of businesses to take over its units.

Completed in December, last year, the Faraday Close hub was designed to attract companies from high-value sectors to the town by offering modern facilities geared towards their needs.

Today (July 29), the council announced the arrival of hardware company D Tiles at unit 2, local security business National Lock and Safe at unit 3, and private events catering company Funk Elephant at unit 14 of the business park — known as Inspire.

A Greggs branch operating as the eatery and café for the business park at unit 1, which had been announced by the chain earlier in the year, has also moved in.

Watford mayor Peter Taylor said: “We are thrilled to welcome these four businesses to ‘Inspire’.

“The redevelopment of Watford Business Park is a testament to our commitment to economic growth in the town.

“We look forward to seeing these businesses thrive and contribute to our vibrant community.”

The 4.3-acre site, which was previously a car park, has 14 units including the café.
