Watford Borough Council are aware of “unauthorised encampments” in a park.
Following reports that a group had travellers had moved into Garston Park, pictures have emerged showing “up to 30” vehicles parked on the grass this morning.
The council quickly confirmed that it is aware of the situation and its officers are “liaising with the police”, last night (July 25).

This morning, a spokesperson added: “We are aware of the unauthorised encampments at Garston Park. Council officers are visiting the site and liaising with the police. Further updates will be provided.”
A statement is expected later today on what action the council plans to take.
A Herts Police spokesperson said the force "are aware of an unauthorised encampment in Garston Park".
They added: "Officers are continuing to monitor the situation, while liaising with the landowners."
Pictures show a large number of caravans on the main area of grass in the middle of the park, with cars parked up next to them.
The A41 remains closed nearby this morning, between the M1 and The Dome roundabout, after an incident yesterday evening. There is no indication so far that the two matters are related.
