In a post on Facebook, Conservative county councillor Caroline Clapper said she had the “pleasure” of attending an event over the plans at the airfield yesterday evening (July 23).
“Aldenham Aviation has entered into an agreement with Leonardo, a leading helicopter manufacturer, to develop new premises for expanding their maintenance capabilities,” Cllr Clapper added. “This is a significant development for our area, and I want to ensure everyone is well-informed.”
The size and exact location of the new hangar is not yet known. London Elstree Aerodrome has been contacted for more details on the proposals.
