Children "could have killed" motorists after they launched stones at cars on a major road - smashing one's windscreen.
A grey Mercedes AMG Line had its sunroof hit when travelling beneath a bridge on the A41 North Western Avenue, near Leavesden.
Herts Police have confirmed they are investigating reports that a rock was thrown from a bridge, damaging the roof of the car, and asked anyone who was in the area at the time, around 5.30pm on Saturday, July 14, to get in touch.

An image, seen by the Watford Observer, shows the roof of the car covered in cracks - but the glass did not completely break and fall into the vehicle.
According to a friend of the victim, the driver was lucky the “missile”, thrown by one of three children, could have killed them or their dog which was in the car at the time.
