New parking restrictions are set to be implemented across several roads in Watford while a flat-rate daily charge to park on another street in the town will take effect from Monday.

Details of the Watford Borough Council orders that are proposed and made can be seen in the Public Notice Portal which is used to access all of the upcoming and recent information about various restrictions and notices.

Here are four notices we’ve rounded up which could affect residents in and around the Watford area:

Various Watford roads – proposed parking restrictions

New parking restrictions – including double yellow lines no waiting at any time – are set to be introduced on various roads in Watford.

Watford Borough Council is proposing to make an order that would permit the following:

No waiting at any time restriction at the following locations:

- At the junction of Westfield Avenue and Munden Grove

- On the north side of the Garston Park Parade service road, outside property No. 16

- On the north side of Riverside Road, either side of the access to Riverside Road Industrial Units

- At the junction of Bushey Mill Lane and Radlett Road

- Around the north western side of the Trevellance Way and Newlands Walk junction

- On the western side of Albanwood, between the junction with Newhouse Crescent and property no. 95 Albanwood

- At the junction of Stud Green and Ganders Ash and The Bow

To provide no loading at any time waiting restriction at the following locations:

- On the west and east side of Ascot Road, between the Toyota Car Garage and Morrisons Supermarket

To provide 'No Waiting Monday - Saturday, 11am - 12pm' waiting restriction at the following location:

- On the east side of Cow Lane, along the unrestricted section of carriageway in the north-eastern direction from the junction with St Albans Road.

Eastbury Road – pay and display parking

A new flat-rate charge to use the pay and display parking bays in Eastbury Road, next to Oxhey Park, in Watford, will take effect from Monday.

Watford Borough Council has made an order that will:

- Remove the maximum stay of three hours, no return within one hour restriction, between Monday to Saturday 8am to 6.30pm.

- Introduce between Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6.30pm, an all-day flat rate of £5 (all other charges remain unaffected) within the pay and display bays on Eastbury Road, adjacent to Oxhey Park.

St John’s Road and Franklin Road – no loading restrictions

The no waiting at any time restrictions – double yellow lines – at the junction of St John’s Road and Franklin Road, in Watford, are set to be extended to also include no loading.

Watford council is proposing to make an order to implement ten metres of no loading at any time above the existing no waiting at any time at the St John’s Road junction with Franklin Road.

Estate of Edith Roberts

Anyone having a claim against or an interest in the estate of Edith Roberts (otherwise Edith Dowse), late of Flat 5, Courtland Lodge, Courtlands Close, Watford, WD24 5GW, who died on December 16, 2023, should send written particulars to VWV LLP, 45 Clarendon Road, Watford, WD17 1SZ.

This should be done on or before August 22, 2024.
