A Watford bank branch has closed today for over three weeks while it undergoes renovations.

The HSBC in High Street is now shut until Monday, August 12, for internal building work and redecoration, as well as for a new cash machine to be installed to replace the existing two ATMs outside.

The bank said customers can use Post Office branches to complete day-to-day transactions and the nearest location in Harrow will remain open.

“We are pleased that our Watford branch is getting a refresh, with some painting, new signage and the installation of new state-of-the-art cash machines, which we are excited about.”

Customers can use their mobile and online banking in the meantime and the HSBC contact centre will remain open online.

The bank will also hold support events for customers at the WHSmith at atria Watford on Tuesdays and Thursday from July 23 to August 1 between 10am and 4pm.
