A proposal to install floodlighting for two sports pitches at a school is among the latest planning applications submitted to Watford, Three Rivers, Dacorum and Hertsmere councils.

York House School, in Sarratt Road, Croxley Green, has applied to Three Rivers District Council for permission to install the floodlights for the two artificial sports surfaces within its grounds.

A design and heritage statement with the application states: "The proposals form part of continual works by the school to provide the best facilities for their students and staff, and to offer wider community use of the facilities to local sporting clubs."
