Police believe AirPods might be the key to finding a driver after they were involved in a crash and ran off.
A White Vauxhall Astra ended up off the road after a two-vehicle smash in Oxhey Lane, Carpenders Park, yesterday (July 18).
Herts Police were called to the scene and found the vehicle had cloned registration plates but the driver, described as black and of a large build, fled on foot.

“This male however, left behind some valuable items such as their keys and AirPods, just to name a few,” a spokesperson for the force’s Operation Scorpion unit said.
“Police are looking to reunite the owner with them. Helpfully, the AirPods were named Onyemaechi.
“So Onyemaechi, if you are seeing this post, please contact Herts police on 101 quoting reference HC-18072024-0434, ask for Three Rivers Scorpion and we will have the pleasure of returning your belongings.”
A cloned vehicle refers to when a criminal has duplicated or stolen another vehicle’s plates to copy its identity. They are often used to carry out further crime or avoid speeding or parking fines.
