A police escort will guide a huge electricity transformer along the M1 and M25.
Surrey Police have warned motorists to be aware that the 58-metre-long and five-metre-wide “abnormal load” will be using the motorways this weekend.
It is due to set off from Luton at 9am on Saturday (July 20) before travelling via the M1 and A405 to join the M25 at junction 19. It will then continue along the M25 anticlockwise until coming off at junction 11 (A320 St Peters Way).

Within Surrey, it will then travel through Ottershaw and Sheerwater, eventually coming to a stop in Pinewood Grove, Addlestone.
The force also warned that a section of Pinewood Grove will be closed until Monday, July 22, for the transformer to make its final move to West Weybridge Substation.
A Surrey Police spokesperson said: “Whilst traffic disruption will be kept to a minimum, motorists are advised to be aware of this route and plan their journey accordingly.”
