Police expect Kyle Clifford will continue to receive treatment “for some time” as they wait to speak to the triple murder suspect.

On Wednesday, July 10, the 26-year-old was found injured in Enfield and taken to a major trauma centre in a “serious” condition, meaning Herts Police did not arrest him until Thursday evening.

The force later confirmed that, due to his condition, the usual requirement for police to charge a suspect within 24 or 48 hours, or release them on bail, does not apply.

In a further update today (July 18), a police spokesperson said: “He remains under arrest and will continue to receive treatment for some time.

"We are not able to put a specific timeframe on this and will be guided by healthcare professionals.

Clifford, from Enfield, was arrested on suspicion of three counts of murder after Carol Hunt, the wife of BBC commentator John Hunt, and their daughters Hannah, 28, and Louise, 25, were killed in a crossbow attack in Bushey on Tuesday, July 9.
