Hello, I’m Dixie, a two-year-old girl who’s looking for my forever home after coming into the National Animal Welfare Trust in June as a stray.
I’m a friendly, independent girl who loves to be the centre of attention, getting as much fuss as possible! You can usually find me flopped over on my side or rolling around upside down showing you how cute I can be. I also love my treats and have just started getting used to having toys to play with at the rescue centre, which I’m enjoying.
I can be a little shy when I first meet new humans, but I build good bonds with people once I feel safe with them. My new family will need to give me time to settle in when I first go home, and it would help me if someone could be home most of the time while I’m settling in. Any children in my family will need to be old enough to understand my needs as well.
I don’t really get on with other cats and I’m nervous around dogs so it would be best if I was the only pet in the home - that way I can feel safe and all your attention is on me! I’d like access to a garden too so I can enjoy exploring.
If you’re looking for a cutie like me, apply today! Email reception@nawt.org.uk or call 0208 950 0177 (option 2).
