Hertfordshire Police are still waiting to question the Bushey crossbow murder suspect as he remains in hospital.
Kyle Clifford, 26, was found in a cemetery near his Enfield home last Wednesday (July 10), before being taken to hospital in a serious condition. He was later arrested.
In usual circumstances, police have between 24 and 48 hours to charge or release suspects on bail while enquiries continue.
However, due to Clifford's condition in hospital, Herts Police confirmed the custody clock has not yet started, so officers have not been bound by the same time frame since his arrest.
Carol, Hannah and Louise Hunt at their home in Ashlyn Close last Tuesday evening (July 9) sparked a manhunt across Hertfordshire and north London which lasted almost 24 hours.

Clifford was found in the Lavender Hill Cemetery and taken to a major trauma centre, where he remained in a “serious condition” with what are thought to be self-inflicted injuries. Police confirmed no shots were fired by officers.
A fundraiser was set up for the BBC correspondent John Hunt and his surviving daughter Amy, which has raised over £50,000 within days.
