A dozen Watford Junction trains have been cancelled this morning after issues towards London.

Damage to overhead wires between the Watford station and Euston/Clapham Junction means that several services running between them have been cancelled or delayed by “up to 45 minutes”, according to National Rail.

A spokesperson added that disruption is expected until 12pm today (July 7).

Update:

London Northwestern has confirmed that some of its lines have now reopened and services “are beginning to run through” but there are still residual problems.

Abbey Line trains and all services that start or terminate at Tring have been cancelled until the end of the morning.

Rail replacement buses are being used between Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey.

Twelve expected journeys departing Watford Junction will not run between 9.30am and 12pm (as of 9.30am).

The latest update from Southern Rail said: “Services are unable to run between Clapham Junction and Watford Junction until further notice.

“Services that usually run between East Croydon / Clapham Junction and Watford Junction will be cancelled.”
