Watford’s tallest building is nearing completion as the first companies are moving into its commercial wing.

The Clarendon, which is 25 storeys-tall, will provide 168 new homes once it is finished in the fourth quarter of this year.

(Image: Newsquest) Electronics manufacturer Epson, National Lottery operator Allwyn and the co-working space YoooServ are currently setting up their offices for employees to move in during the autumn.

(Image: Newsquest) In May, the new National Lottery operator Allwyn promised that Watford will remain the home of the National Lottery “for years to come” as it plans to move out of its Tolpits Lane office.

The Clarendon is currently the town’s tallest building by storeys, although it will eventually be surpassed by the Eight Gardens scheme in St Albans Road, which will reach 28 floors once completed in 2028.
