Motorists using some of the busiest roads in Watford are likely to experience delays to their journeys due to planned roadworks in the coming weeks.
Works are set to take place in St Albans Road, Clarendon Road, Hempstead Road and Beechen Grove involving the use of lane closures and temporary traffic lights.
The following information is sourced from the One.Network website and is a selection of roadworks planned due to happen into August:
- Delays are likely in St Albans Road, Watford, tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday for works by Affinity Water. Multi-way traffic lights will be in use between the junctions with Salisbury Road and Regent Street.
- Prestwick Road, South Oxhey, will be closed to drivers from 8pm to 5am, from Tuesday to July 23, for resurfacing works. The road will be shut from the junction of Bowring Green to the junction of Oxhey Drive and a diversion will be in place.
- Works by Affinity Water are likely to cause delays in Clarendon Road, Watford, on July 20 and July 21. Two-way traffic lights will be in use near to the junction with Gartlet Road.
- Stratford Way, Watford, will be closed from 9.30am to 4pm on July 22 for resurfacing work. The closure will be in place from the junction of Hempstead Road to the junction of Cassiobury Drive. A diversion will be in operation.
- Delays are likely in Hempstead Road, Watford, from 9.30am to 4pm on July 22 when a lane will be closed to assist with resurfacing in Stratford Way. The closure means there will be no left turn into Stratford Way.
- A lane will be closed in Beechen Grove, Watford, from July 22 to August 2 due to the construction of a new lay bay to the rear of Nos. 37-39 Clarendon Road.
- Gas works by Cadent are set to cause delays in Gammons Lane, Watford, from July 22 to August 9. Multi-way traffic lights will be in use near to the junction with Dell Road.
- Anthony Close, Oxhey, will be closed to vehicles from 9.30am to 3.30pm on July 24 for works by Openreach.
