The Home Secretary is being kept “fully updated” on progress with a manhunt following the killing of three women in Bushey.

Yvette Copper MP urged anyone with information about the case to come forward in a post to X, formerly Twitter, as the search continues.

Herts Police had been called to an Ashlyn Close home just before 7pm yesterday (July 9) and found three women with serious injuries upon arrival. All three victims died at the scene a short time later.

Officers are currently searching for 26-year-old Kyle Clifford, from the Enfield area, who is wanted in connection with the murders and “may still be in possession of a crossbow”, according to the force.

The force believe he could be in the areas of Hertfordshire or North London.

The Home Secretary said: “The loss of three women’s lives in Bushey last night is truly shocking. My thoughts are with the family and friends of those who have been killed and with the community.

“I am being kept fully updated. I urge people to support (Hertfordshire Police) with any information about this case.”

Ashlyn Close is cordoned off as blue and white forensic tent has been erected in the front garden of one of the homes in the cul de sac, with a police officer on guard and several vehicles parked nearby.
