Hertfordshire Police have arrested a man on suspicion of drug dealing after they seized heroin, crack and a combat knife in Watford.

Officers conducted operations in Caractacus Cottage View and Riverside Road on Friday (July 5) after receiving reports of drug dealing in the area.

(Image: Hertfordshire Police) A suspect was seen leaving an address in Caractacus Cottage View, and was searched by police nearby who found 50 wraps of heroin and crack cocaine on him, the force said.

A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply. He has since been released on bail while the police investigation continues.

(Image: Hertfordshire Police) Police also searched a Riverside Road property where they found another 40 wraps of suspected class A drugs as well as a combat knife.  

It is not known what the drugs seized in Riverside Road were. Police have been contacted for more details.
