The 24-year-old faces two charges, attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and attempting to cause or incite a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity.

According to court documents, it is alleged that between March 12 and March 15, 2022, he intentionally tried to sexually communicate with a child “for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification” and “attempted to intentionally incite a girl under the age of 13, to engage in penetrative sexual activity”.

The documents add that he either denied the charges or did not enter a plea at the magistrates' court.
