A hospice care provider is looking for 30 participants for 'Strictly Come Hospice', which includes ten weeks of free professional dance tuition.
Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care has issued the challenge to residents to learn two routines to perform at a finale scheduled for January 2025.
Each contestant is also requested to raise £600 to support hospice services in the community.
Emma Stewart, events manager at Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care, said: "We are delighted to be bringing this exciting fundraising challenge to the area.
"It’s totally different from the other fundraising activities we currently offer and will give local people the chance to learn new skills while making a real difference through fundraising.
"Every penny raised through sponsorship and sales of tickets to the grand finale performance will be used to fund vital hospice care in our community.
"We need to raise over £17,000 every single day just to keep our services running, so exciting new fundraising events like this are vital in enabling us to do that."
Dances will be taught during group lessons at Rickmansworth School every Tuesday evening starting from October 8.
Those interested in signing up can either go solo or pair up.
The registration fee for participation is set at £30, confirmed upon securing a slot in the contest.
Contestants are encouraged to sell a minimum of five tickets for the grand finale as part of their personal sponsorship goals.
