A Watford woman must pay £875.70 after she admitted dodging rail fares 77 times.
Kanvi Upadhyay, of Prestwick Road, admitted travelling on TfL services without a valid ticket at Wembley Park on January 27, when she appeared in Lavender Hill Magistrates’ Court on June 24.
The 21-year-old was fined just £40 and ordered to pay a £16 victim services surcharge. But when it came to compensation, 76 other offences were taken into consideration.
Compensation of £444.70 was ordered, as well as £375 in costs. She must pay £50 per month, starting from July 22.

Marcel Radomski and Holly Snelgar, of Whippendell Road, Watford, were each ordered to pay £576.40 at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on June 26 after “knowingly and wilfully” travelling beyond the distance paid for on a railway.
Radomski, 28, and Snelgar, 26, had paid for a journey between Southampton Central and Southampton Airport but the charge related to being at London Waterloo Station on February 14.
