A Watford shoplifter who took over £1,100 worth of clothing in three days is among six people sentenced for stealing.
A 59-year-old woman who stole alcohol and crisps worth £172 and a 25-year-old who assaulted shop staff have also been in court in the last few weeks.

Catherine Bell
Catherine Bell appeared at St Albans Magistrates' Court on Monday, July 1, over two charges of stealing from a Sainsbury’s in Watford.
The 59-year-old, of Southwold Road, had previously denied taking bottles of alcohol on July 15, 2023, and four bottles of spirits and six packets of crisps worth £172.20 on July 19.
In court on Monday, she changed her plea to guilty and was fined £80 for both offences.
Brett Warn
Brett Warn, of The Harebreaks, appeared at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on June 13 for sentencing over shoplifting £1,130 worth of clothes in Watford.
The 27-year-old had previously admitted stealing clothing worth £500 from TK Maxx in atria Watford on November 5.
Warn admitted returning to the same shop days later to steal another £235.94 worth of items and an additional £394.96 from Sports Direct on November 7.
Magistrates ordered him to pay £500 in compensation to TK Maxx and fined him £461.
Jordan Clark
Repeat shoplifter Jordan Clark, of Charter Place, was jailed for four weeks at Hatfield Magistrates’ Court on June 11 after he pleaded guilty to assault and three counts of stealing in atria.
Police said the 25-year-old took a fragrance and giftset from Victoria’s Secret worth £109 on June 2 and pushed his way past without paying when staff challenged him.
Clark admitted assaulting a shop worker when they chased him down and recovered the items.
He pleaded guilty to shoplifting fragrance and skincare products worth £255.50 from Boots in atria days later on June 4.
Tunde Ajetunmob
Tunde Ajetunmob, of Courtlands Close, appeared at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on June 25 accused of stealing a £300 bike in Watford on May 5, 2023, as well as taking keys from a car and two counts of vehicle interference on June 2.
The 67-year-old pleaded guilty to all charges and was ordered to pay £300 in compensation to the bike theft victim.
Ajetunmob also received a nine-month conditional discharge for the theft from a car.
James Anderson
On June 4, Herts Police received a separate report that a man had gone into Hollister and grabbed six T-shirts worth £234 and left without making any attempt to pay.
James Anderson, of Charter Place, appeared before Hatfield Magistrates' Court on June 11 where he pleaded guilty to theft.
The 37-year-old was given a four-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months. He must pay £234 in compensation.
Haben Ghebreamlak
Haben Ghebreamlak, of Charter Place, was jailed at Hatfield Magistrates' Court on June 25 for 30 weeks over multiple offences.
The 34-year-old admitted trying door handles and stealing air pods, a smartwatch and cash from parked cars on three dates in June.
The offences activated a previous six-week suspended sentence he was handed a month prior over multiple theft offences, including stealing a £300 Brompton bike.
He was also ordered to pay £300 in compensation for the air pods victim and £50 for the stolen cash.
