Plans for up to 400 homes at a former golf club are expected to come forward soon.
The landowner of Bushey Hall Golf Club and developer Griggs Homes are looking to redevelop the course, which closed in 2019, for a new residential community.
Known as Scotts Wood Park, off Bushey Hall Drive, it would include a mix of housing types and tenures with up to 70 per cent designated as affordable, according to the developer.

Pre-application designs also feature a community hub incorporating health and wellbeing services and land safeguarded for a new six form entry secondary school.
Griggs Homes added that protected trees would be retained and the scheme would bring a biodiversity net gain of at least 10 per cent.
It also aims to open up full public access to the space and bring “significant enhancement” to the footpaths and cycle routes.

The developer will be holding a pre-application community event where people can share their views at the Metropolitan Bushey in Aldenham Road, from 3pm to 7pm on July 10.
“Your comments will be considered wherever possible to help evolve the design of the application prior to submission to Hertsmere Borough Council,” a poster for the event said.
Consultation comments can also be made online at www.scottswoodpark-consultation.co.uk from July 10 to July 24.
