Police have arrested two people after a man “suffered stab wounds” in Watford.
At around 2am on Friday (June 28) a man in his 50s was allegedly assaulted, sustaining suspected stab wounds to his hand in Silk Mill Road. He was taken to hospital for stitches.
Today (July 2), Herts Police confirmed that a 40-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man from Watford were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

They have been bailed while the force continues to make enquiries.
A police spokesperson added that anyone with information about what happened “should call the non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference 41/52535/24”.

According to residents, the alley stretching from Silk Mill Road to Riverside Road was cordoned off by police throughout Friday.
