Three horses were rescued at the weekend after the vehicle that was towing their trailer caught fire.
Firefighters were called to put out the blaze at an M25 roundabout near Kings Langley at about 3.22pm on Saturday.
Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said its crew was at Kings Langley Carnival at the time and went to the aid of the horses and driver.
The vehicles were well alight when they arrived.
A spokesperson said: "All the horses made it out safely and the trailer was also safely removed."
