A community will again come together tomorrow for an annual celebration of mid-summer involving clubs, societies, businesses and other organisations from Croxley Green.

Croxley Revels has been held in its “modern” format for more than 100 years and is traditionally staged on the afternoon of the Saturday closest to the summer solstice.

Saturday's event is due to start at 12.30pm and again promises to have plenty for young and old alike, with fairground rides, a host of stalls to browse, along with food and ice cream on sale, while enjoying displays from a variety of groups in the main arena.

To help get you in the mood if you’re planning on visiting the Revels tomorrow, we’ve dug into our picture archive to look back at three times when the event was staged in the 1960s.
