Hertfordshire Police have charged a second man for the murder of Amjad Hussain after his 24-year-old son was previously sentenced to life in prison.

Husnein Amjad of Fuller Road, Watford, was given a minimum sentence of 17 years in December after he was found guilty of beating his father to death in their family home on October 28, 2021.

After more intelligence came to light this year, officers yesterday (June 20) arrested and charged Zaheer Abbas, of Weldale Street in Reading, with murder.
