Motorists are likely to experience delays due to a closure and other works due to take place in three major routes in Watford next week.

Part of the A41 at Hunton Bridge is set to be closed overnight from Tuesday to Thursday, while delays are also expected because of works scheduled to take place in Rickmansworth and St Albans Road on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The following information is sourced from the One.Network website and is a selection of the roadworks due to take place in the Watford area in the coming weeks:

- A diversion will be in place when a section of the A41 Watford Road/Hempstead Road is closed overnight from Tuesday to Thursday. The road is due to be shut from 9pm to 5am from Hunton Bridge leading to Warner Bros. Studios to allow a variety of works to be carried out.

- Delays are likely in Rickmansworth Road, Watford, on Tuesday and Wednesday when two-way traffic lights will be in use to assist with resurfacing works in The Chase. The lights will be in place either side of the junction with The Chase, which will be closed to vehicles while the work is carried out.

- Motorists are likely to experience delays in St Albans Road, Watford, on Tuesday and Wednesday while Affinity Water carry out works. Multi-way traffic lights will be in use between the junctions with Salisbury Road and Regent Street.

- A section of Orphanage Road, Watford, will be closed to drivers from 9.30am to 4pm, from June 28 to June 30 for surface dressing works. The closure will be in place from the junction with Reeds Crescent to the Radlett Road Roundabout and a diversion will be in operation.

- Works by Affinity Water mean delays are likely in Lower High Street, Watford, on July 1. Multi-way traffic lights will be in use close to the junction with Watford Field Road.

- Orphanage Road, Watford, will be shut to motorists overnight from 10am on July 1 to 6am on July 2 for works by Network Rail.
