A motorcyclist has died after a crash in Hemel Hempstead which saw a 23-year-old arrested.
The collision involving two cars and a motorcycle was at around 6.40am today (June 17) in Redbourn Road, on the stretch near Cupid Green Playing Fields.
Herts Police said a man in his 30s passed away at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Sergeant Timothy Davies, from the Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this sad time.
“If you witnessed the collision or saw any of the vehicles travelling in the area prior to it, please report it to us. Diversions are currently in place at the scene, and motorists are asked to please avoid the area.”
The stretch had been expected to be closed until 7pm tonight, according to Google Maps, but has now reopened.
