England were beaten in the World Cup semi-finals, American President Donald Trump arrived in Britain for a four-day visit while Watford and large parts of the country continue to swelter in an ongoing heatwave.

These were among the stories making the news in July 2018 when Pryzm nightclub, Bosleys pub and Zinco’s restaurant were still popular venues to visit in Watford town centre.

Former Watford Observer photographer Holly Cant visited almost six years to capture a series of snaps of the high street.
