Police have confirmed a man in his forties died in an incident which shut Watford train lines for hours.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said they were called to Headstone Lane railway in Harrow at around 8.09pm on Friday (May 31) following reports someone was struck by a train.
Paramedics attended but he was pronounced dead at the scene, and the death is not being treated as suspicious.
It is with great sadness that we report a person has been hit by a train between Watford Junction and Wembley Central. All lines remain blocked between these stations whilst the emergency services work to deal with this incident.

- Watford Junction timetables to be tweaked from this week
The lines between Watford Junction and London Euston were completely shut for almost seven hours from 8.25pm until 3.14am on Saturday (June 1) when National Rail confirmed the emergency services had finished working at the scene.
One rail user posted a photo on X which showed crowds of people waiting at Euston while another asked National Rail for help as his son was “stranded” in Watford.

Is this really the best use of this electronic display space?
This photo was taken when nothing was moving in or out of Euston due to a person being hit by a train further up the track.
It actually obscures the view of information useful right now! pic.twitter.com/EaCCYLbRsZ
