A new flat-rate daily charge is set to be introduced to use an area of on-street pay and display car parking while a company has applied for a goods vehicle licence for a unit at a Watford industrial estate.

Here are four notices we’ve rounded up which could affect residents in Watford and Rickmansworth.
Eastbury Road – pay and display car parking
An all-day flat rate fee of £5 is set to be introduced to the pay and display car on-street parking bays in Eastbury Road.
Watford Borough Council is proposing the following changes to the on-street bays:
- To remove the maximum stay of three hours, no return within one hour restriction, between Monday to Saturday 8am to 6.30pm and
- To introduce from 8am to 6.30pm, Monday to Saturday, an all-day flat rate of £5 (all other changes remain unaffected, with the pay and display bays at:
- Eastbury Road (north side) from a point 105 metres east of its junction with Deacons Hill to a point 170 metres east of its junction with Deacons Hill
- Eastbury Road (north side) from a point 220 metres east of its junction with Deacons Hill to a point 385 metres east of its junction with Deacons Hill

Old’s Approach – goods vehicle licence
A metal fabricator business has applied for permission to use a Watford industrial estate unit as an operating centre for a goods vehicle.
JSP Aluminium Ltd, of Unit 29 Popin Business Centre, Southway, Wembley, Middlesex HA9 0HF has applied to use Unit 8 Byfleet Industrial Estate, Old’s Approach, Watford WD18 9TS as a base for one goods vehicle.
Owners or occupiers of nearby land and businesses wishing to make representations should do so in writing to the Traffic Commissioner at Hillcrest House, 386 Harehills Lane, Leeds LS9 6NF.
Estate of Elsie Annie Slade
Anyone having a claim against or an interest in the estate of Elsie Annie Slade, late of 56 Gonville Avenue, Croxley Green, Rickmansworth, WD3 3BY, who died on July 2, 2023 must send their particulars in writing to Ruth Garland c/o Archer Rusby LLP, 3 Norfolk Court, Norfolk Road, Rickmansworth WD3 1LA.
This should be done by July 4, 2024 quoting reference: RG/SAC/JON49.0001.
Estate of Francisca Blanche Mildred Rodrigues
Any persons having an interest in or a claim against the estate of Francisca Blanche Mildred Rodrigues, late of 97 Woodland Drive, Watford, WD17 3LA, who died on September 8, 2023, should send their details the solicitors for the executor Jennifer Hurrell.
The solicitors are Messrs Maffey & Brentnall of 149 The Parade, Watford, WD17 1NB and particulars should be sent by July 19, 2024.
