Herts Police are appealing for information after a nine-year-old went missing in London.

Saraya, from Hemel Hempstead, was last seen in Beckton Road, Canning Town, at around 9pm on May 22 after being reported missing to police on May 3.

She is described as being of average build and having medium length curly hair. Police added that she has a piercing on her upper lip and is usually seen wearing colourful leggings.

The girl is not believed to be alone, and is likely to be in the company of her mother, but a Herts Police spokesperson said that officers are growing “increasingly concerned about Saraya’s welfare”.

She has links to the Canning Town area of London as well as Hemel Hempstead.

Anyone who thinks they are with the nine-year-old or have seen her recently have been asked to call 999 immediately and quote ISR 522 of 3 May.

Anyone who has seen Saraya since she was reported missing, or has information about where she has been, is asked to report it online or by calling 101 quoting the same reference number.
