Rickmansworth has a brand new luxury care home featuring a cinema and beauty salon.

The official opening of the Riverside Lodge Care Home in Church Street was held on May 23 as the Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, Robert Voss CBE, made a speech and Iris, one of the residents, cut the ceremonial ribbon.

The new facility offers the “very latest in luxury care home living”, according to operator Quantum Care, with 75 ensuite bedrooms of which many have their own patio area.

Quantum Care chief executive Maria Ball said “We are extremely grateful to the Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire for attending our special day at Riverside Lodge.

“We were delighted to be able to show him our beautiful new home.”

There is a range of facilities on-site including a cinema, hair and beauty salon, multiple lounges and dining rooms, as well as a café for residents and guests to socialise.
