Herts Police sealed off a Watford park yesterday after reports that a man was stabbed.
Regular parkgoers were left concerned after being unable to access Harwoods Recreation Ground, opposite Laurence Haines School in Vicarage Road, on Monday morning (May 27) due to police tape closing both entrances.
The force has now confirmed that it is investigating following reports of a “serious assault” at the site.

It is believed to have happened between 6.30am and 7am and involved a man in his 20s suffering a single stab wound.
He was taken to hospital for treatment and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police are continuing to make enquiries and asked anyone with information to contact them, quoting the crime reference number 41/42032/24.
Information can be provided to police online at herts.police.uk/report, via webchat at herts.police.uk/contact, or by calling the non-emergency number 101.
Harwoods Recreation Ground had been included as a priority for the Safer Neighbourhood Team in Watford at the end of last year after multiple reports of antisocial behaviour and drug activity.
