The railway company that manages Watford Junction has warned passengers to check journeys ahead of bank holiday engineering works.
London Northwestern Railway (LNR) will be taking advantage of the three-day weekend to make track improvements between Crewe and Milton Keynes.
This means that travellers heading north from Watford Junction towards Crewe, or further on to Liverpool, should expect disruption on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
- Watford's busiest trains to get more capacity from June
- May train strike announced to hit Watford Junction services
- Watford Junction is Hertfordshire's busiest station
LNR customers experience director Jonny Wiseman said: “I would like to thank passengers for their patience as journeys on the West Coast Main Line between Crewe and Milton Keynes are subject to disruption this weekend due to engineering works.
“These upgrades are crucial for providing a more reliable and efficient service for passengers in the future.”
It comes just before West Midlands Railway engineering work closes the Cross City North Line, between Lichfield Trent Valley/Four Oaks and Birmingham New Street, from May 27 to June 1.
