Motorists have been warned of several M1 and M25 closures near Watford that are set to cause delays over the next fortnight.

The M1 will shut northbound between junctions 5 and 6 from tonight (May 21) until Thursday (May 23), between 10pm and 5am, to enable safety fence repairs.

It will also shut along the same stretch during the same times on Friday, May 24. Delays of under 10 minutes are expected.

Drivers have also been warned of between 10 and 30-minute delays on the M25 anticlockwise between junctions 23 (South Mimms) and 24 (Potters Bar), from 10pm to 5.30am every night until June 1.

M25 closures

M25, from 10pm May 7 to 5.30am May 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti-clockwise, junction 22 Slip exit road, Lane closure for surveys.

M25, from 10pm May 13 to 5.30am June 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 23 to junction 24, lane and slip road closure for NEAR Scheme, diversion via National Highways roads.
