More arrests have been made after a man was stabbed during a group fight in Abbots Langley.

Four men were previously arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following the clash in Parnell Close, Abbots Langley, at around 7.35pm on April 26.

Herts Police have now confirmed two more men have been arrested in connection with the incident.

“A man aged in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder, and a teenager has been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and GBH,” a spokesperson told the Watford Observer.

“They have both been released on police bail whilst enquiries continue.”

Around seven people were believed to have been involved and a man was airlifted to a London hospital for treatment. His injuries were later confirmed not to be life-changing.

At the time, Detective Inspector Dan Bhamra said: “I appreciate this will be alarming for the local community. I would like to reassure everyone that this is believed to be an isolated incident and there is not believed to be a wider risk to the public.”

He said officers are “working to understand the full circumstances” and thanked members of the public who have assisted the investigation.

All those arrested have been released on bail.
