There is one week left to have a say on the future of popular park.
South Oxhey Playing Fields is a large area of open green space between Sandy Lane and Prestwick Road, which is well used for dog walking, walking, children’s play, and sport.
Hertfordshire County Council's Countryside Management Service is currently working with Three Rivers District Council to develop a new Greenspace Action Plan to plan out improvements it will try to make over the next five years.

A copy of the draft South Oxhey Playing Fields Greenspace Action Plan is available to view on the Three Rivers District Council website and residents have until May 17 to offer any comments.
There is specific detail on a large and varied plan for planting within the space, with maps to demonstrate where vegetation would go.
Improvements in the plan include improving the visibility of less prominent entrances, adding features of interest including supplementary signs celebrating the site’s heritage, designing and promoting walking routes, and establishing a wildflower maze.
It also calls for enforcing a public space protection order, removing graffiti, and delivering a maintenance contract.
