Motorists using one of the busiest roads in Watford are facing delays lasting more than a week due to roadworks.
Cadent are due to start works in Hempstead Road at the junction with Courtlands Drive on Monday. These are due to last until until May 24.
Meanwhile, other roads in the area are set to be shut in the next two weeks to allow new electricity service connections to be installed.
The following information is sourced from the One.Network website and is a selection of the works due to take place in Watford and surrounding areas in the coming weeks:
- Hartspring Lane and Hartspring Lane Roundabout, Watford, are both closed from today until Monday to allow Leep Electricity Networks to install a new service connection.
- Motorists using A411 Hempstead Road, Watford, are set to experience delays for 11 days from Monday while Cadent carry out gas works. These are due to last until May 24 at the junction with Courtlands Drive where multi-way traffic lights will be in use.
- Otterspool Way and Park Avenue, Watford, will be shut to motorists from 8am to 6pm, from Monday to May 24, while Leep Electricity Networks install a new service connection.
- Drivers using The Harebreaks, Watford, are likely to experience delays lasting a month due to gas works by Cadent. The work is due to begin on Monday and last until June 14. Multi-way traffic lights will be in use between the junctions with Chestnut Walk and Dell Road.
- Multi-way traffic lights will be in use in Sherborne Way, Croxley Green, on Tuesday and Wednesday while Openreach carry out works.
- Phillipers, Watford, is due to be shut to motorists from Tuesday until June 5 while Leep Electricity Networks install a new service connection. The work is due to take place near to the junction with Lea Bushes.
- Delays are likely in Woodmere Avenue, Watford, from Friday, May 17 to May 22 to allow Leep Electricity Networks to install a new service connection. Multi-way traffic lights will be in use close to the junction with Douglas Avenue.
