Hello everyone, my name is Ronnie, and I’m a 10-year-old male Bedlington Terrier cross Whippet who’s looking for a new home. I came to the National Animal Welfare Trust in February when my owner became ill and couldn’t look after me anymore.

I’m a sweet boy who enjoys being fussed and going out for my walks. As an older chap I’m slowing down a little, but I still have plenty of energy for walkies!

I can live with older children who are experienced around dogs, particularly older ones that like some peace and quiet. I can't live with other dogs as I can be reactive to them, so I try to avoid them when I’m out on walks. I can’t live with cats either as the urge to chase them is just too strong.

I’m used to being left on my own for a couple of hours, but if I’m left for too long I will get upset and cry. I’ll need there to be someone around while I’m settling in before starting to leave me for short periods of time. I sometimes have accidents in the house so I could do with a toilet training refresher as I wouldn’t want to make you cross.
