Watford Junction’s railway company will have no service today as drivers are on strike.
This week, Aslef members are walking out on May 7, 8 and 9 at different operators. London Northwestern Railway (LNR) trains are subject to strike action today (May 8) meaning no LNR services will operate.
It follows a planned reduction of services on Monday and Tuesday, due to an overtime ban, which will also be the case on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Passengers are being urged to check before attempting to travel by train at any time this week.
- May train strike announced to hit Watford Junction services
- Watford Junction trains cancelled due to strike action
- Watford Junction's Abbey Line cancelled for 9 days
There is a glimmer of hope that negotiations will start in a bid to resolve the row after the Rail Delivery Group (RDG) invited Aslef to talks about exploring any common ground which could break the deadlock last week.

No formal talks between the operators and the union have been held for a year and for longer involving a transport minister.
As well as LNR, there are also strikes at Avanti West Coast, Chiltern Railways, CrossCountry, East Midlands Railway, Great Western Railway, and West Midlands Trains today.
Aslef members at LNER, Northern Trains, and TransPennine Express will strike on May 9.
The London Overground is not involved in the strike action.
